Mom and Dad came over to play games today. I bought a Chicago Stuffed Pizza for lunch and then we played Clue: The Great Museum Caper, Victory Circle, and Trumpet throughout the afternoon.

Back when I had true weekends off, many of us would spend Sunday afternoons playing different games together. Julie, my youngest sister, and her family would always be there, sometimes my brother and his family would show up. Hearts, Uno, Trumpet, Phase 10. It didn't really matter what we played, we always had a great time. But I got a job where I worked weekends and game day just kind of faded away without me. Busy lives and competing schedules but I sure miss that time and wish we could get something going again even if was monthly.

I headed over to Fry's Electronics tonight and saw traffic backed up on the freeway headed back home. Good thing I have GPS capabilities on the phone so I could find a different route home. Too bad the phone was at home sitting on my desk. Isn't that just the way it works? lol

That's a different Clue from the one I remember. Is it better than the original?

It's at least as much fun as both the Original and The Master Detective, which just has more suspects, weapons, and rooms. This one is different in that everyone is not looking for a whodunit, with what, and where. One person plays the thief and everyone else has to try and catch him before he escapes with stolen paintings. You have line of sight, cameras, and a motion detector that help to give you clues to where he's at along with the fact that every time he takes a painting, he removes it from the board just before he moves.
Everyone gets a chance to be the thief and the winner is the thief who steals the most paintings and gets out without being caught!

That sounds kind of like Spy Alley. Cool!

I had to look that one up on boardgamegeek.com! It sounds like it would be fun to play.
