Thank you, Mr. Weatherman

The guy who plays Santa Claus at our work Christmas party retired this last summer and Becky tried to get him to come back this year but he's working afternoons for the school district and can't make it that day. I was, or rather am, her next choice but the 10 day weather forecast is for 10F (-12C), sleet, and snow so she may end up canceling it.
Plus the party's held on my day off and I don't really want to drive down there for that.

10 degrees? That was our high today. I was outside without my hood up for 10 minutes. You would be wearing a costume! You wouldn't even feel it.

Although, sleet...that is bad.

Feeling a little masochistic today, eh? That is just way too cold for me! We had a chilly 49 degree cloudy day though I was inside where it was a nice, toasty 82 degrees!

I don't mind snow. It's the freezing rain and sleet that follow the snow that I hate. Nobody can drive on ice! :(

What is Santa asked to do at this party?

Santa gets mugged by all the kids! hahaha
They rent a Santa costume and the families of all the workers are invited to the party. The kids get to sit on Santa's lap and, if I remember from last year, gives out little candy canes or treats to all the kids. Lots of food and you stand/sit around and talk to all the people you see every day - and those you used to see before you changed shifts/departments/what-have-you.
I'm not much of a party person and left after about 30 minutes last year. I'd probably do it for Becky if I was working that day but I doubt that I'd enjoy it, not for 6 hours which I was told was how long last year's party ran.
