White Christmas

Global warming? El Nino? Losing the gravitational pull of the sun and we're all going to slowly freeze to death as the Earth moves out beyond Pluto?

The last time I remember snow this deep in Portland was around 1984. They keep changing their predictions (it keeps getting worse!) but right now they say 6 inches of snow today turning to 1 & 1/2 inches of ice from freezing rain tonight.
In the words of a Dido song: *Oh how lovely it must be*

I don't mind driving in the snow but ice? I'd rather stay home. Plus with that much freezing rain we're apt to lose power tonight. No internet. :( At least I've got my priorities straight. lol

Neither can we!!! lol It's been a good 20 years since I've buried my shoes in snow just walking through the yard.

Wow!

We got 10.5 inches last night and it's like everyone around here TOTALLY forgot how to drive in the snow. It was crazy out today!

Wow, that's a lot of snow. Is that your first snow this winter? That's what happens out here the first time we get snow in the winter.

No snow for us in summer (or ever, where I live) but you drive safely in that stuff and keep lots of candles on hand. No internet = extra reading time. :o)

Hey Jane. I hope you had a Happy Birthday.
Do you have any mountains at all close by so on that one extremely rare (I'm sure ☺ ) occurance when you get the urge you can go play in the snow?

We have volcanoes! Yeah, they have ski fields though, so I could play if I wanted.

True. And I am in the middle of the first book in Carolyn Hart's new series, Ghost at Work!
