Global warming meets El Nino

Tomorrow's forecast for Portland calls for accumulations of snow up to 1 inch down to 500 feet along with thunderstorms, hail, and everything but sunshine, which is what we've got today in between rain showers! I believe I'm at 800 feet and it's mostly downhill to work!
It's very strange weather we're having this year with a dusting of snow in March and more possible in April. Blossoms on the cherry, apple and pear trees and now we're getting more snow?
