Lighthouse today!

The clouds have moved in overnight but according to Weather.com it should clear up this afternoon. The same weather tomorrow with clouds in the am and clearing in the afternoon. Wed. should be pretty clear so I'll head for Cape Lookout then.
Cape Meares is my plan for this afternoon.

I stayed up 'til midnight finishing my Miss Zukas mystery, the first book I've finished this month! I stepped out for a view of the almost full moon which was bright enough to leave a distinct shadow and too bright to see the Milky Way. I also saw the Big Dipper though not the gazzilion stars usually seen without any city lights around.

My prediction of winning the Bocce ball game yesterday was premature. I lost to Myself by 2 points but I think Me messed up the score. lol
In golf I was still 2 over par with 38 being the best for the day and 36 best for the trip.

The third light is now lit on the gray water tank which means my 16 gallon tank is over half full. Hopefully, I'll make it 'til Friday before having to dump it.

Edit to note: sidetracked today - Cape Meares tomorrow! Thanks, sillyliss :~ lol
It's my own fault for reading late into the night, sleeping in an extra two hours and then playing around online! Now I'm off to make some lunch and start reading The Ghost and the Femme Fatale. Maybe finish The Queen Jade first since it's a hardcover and not easily taken on walks. Fortunately, I have that great view from the camper! :D

Heyyyy, is it *my* fault that you have a joke streak???? :P

Nope! But now that you mention it....

You're in a square house with 4 walls, a window on each wall, every window faces south, and a bear walks by. What color is the bear?

An electric train is heading North at 35 mph and the wind is blowing East at 10 mph. Which way does the smoke go?

A blonde comes into work one morning plopping a cylindrical object onto her desk.
Her blonde boss asks, "What is that?"
She says, "It's a thermos. It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold."
Her boss then askes her, "What do you have in there."
The blonde answers, "A cup of coffee and a popsicle."

Okay, I think you're giving me un-answerable ones now.

1. It must be white -- a polar bear. How else can all windows face south?

2. Why does an electric train have smoke coming out? Is it on fire?

3. Blondes have all the fun!

If they were unanswerable, how did you know the answers? :D

1. White. The house has to be located on the North Pole

2. Electric trains don't have smoke.

3. Lot's of great blonde jokes, I just can't rememeber them all. :( A coworker collects them to tell his blonde sister-in-law!

Well, it took me a while to figure them out. I *almost* googled...but I didn't. I have some small semblance of restraint, it seems.

Does google give answers to riddles?
Jun. 17th, 2008 11:58 am (UTC)
Google gives answers to everything!
Jun. 17th, 2008 03:36 pm (UTC)
Well then I'm evidently using the wrong Search Engine! :)
Jun. 17th, 2008 04:23 pm (UTC)
You don't use Google???

*dies of shock*
Jun. 18th, 2008 02:50 am (UTC)
Nope. I use the Live Search box with IE7.

Google just gave me sites for "Ole and Lena" and "Ole and Sven" jokes whereas Live Search also gave me Ole and Lena's Place, a very nice looking Bed & Breakfast in Bayfield, Wi.

I have to try Google on a riddle yet! I was too busy laughing at Ole jokes for the last half hour! lol

You are too funny!

I'm surprised Ole and Lena's Place wasn't somewhere in Minnesota.

That may have been where they were originally from! :D
