I got my blinds from JC Penney in the mail and thought this would be a good day to put them up. I spread the contents over the table, opened the directions, and checked to make sure all the parts were there. Guess what? ...they were! lol except for one little problem. The brackets mount up and back which will not work since my windows slide to the side and the track is mounted inside the casement. I need the optional side mounting brackets which are not in the standard package. Since no one at the store where I ordered them mentioned that, I did not know to order the optional side mounting brackets. I now have a special order in for the optional side mounting brackets and they should be here by Oct. 22. So the blinds sit here for another week before I can install them because I don't have the optional side mounting brackets. And yes, I have to make a big joke out of the optional side mounting brackets or I'd just be so frustrated that they're sitting here all ready to install if I only knew to order the optional side mounting brackets in the first place.

I hope you didn't have to pay more and that J.C. Penney isn't too far away. We just put up new drapes and I love them. I have no idea if it required any optional parts, though. ;)

Nope and not too far. I ended up walking 1.2 miles through the mall afterwards (Sears is on the opposite end) so I got my workout at the same time! ☺
No pictures? ...no, silly, my camera's busted. Yeah, I meant before that. :D

I thought they were probably a little boring to post, but they will likely show up in other pictures. Of Emmy. ;)

For some reason, I love looking at other people's home improvement projects but I think mine are boring. Weird?

Okay, I wondered if I somehow missed it on one of those 12+ hour working days where I skim through my flist rather quickly.
Not weird at all, that's what I think about a lot of things I post but it's my journal and I post it anyway. Just because I post it doesn't mean anyone has to read it! I needed to brag about what I fine job I thought I did lol, thought it was funny, or needed to rant a bit (I try to keep that down or private!)...depending on that particular post!
The workout posts are to hopefully!_! keep me on track.

I definitely agree that a person should post whatever he/she wants in his/her own journal. I try to use different filters for much of mine, but basically, if I can't see the humor in a certain situation, I don't end up posting it most of the time. The reason for that is that when I look back, I would rather laugh than cry. :)

Then again, you might see some humor in reading it at a future date that you can't see in that moment but yeah, if I'm gonna cry - make it over a good book! :D
Many of my private posts are more a record from forgetfulness for when a supervisor at work may ask about something major that happened. (the shoulder guy!) The days can seem to run together and I forget. And it beats keeping a paper record floating around somewhere in my file cabinet! ☺
