I just finished #19 S Is For Silence
by Sue Grafton. I rate it a 6. ( Collapse )
This is another book that keeps switching to the past every few chapters. You go from what happened in 1953 to what is currently happening to the Kinsey Millhone and back again.
I'm currently reading Starship Troopers
and #2 The Usurper's Crown
by Sarah Zettel which should actually be #1. I'm having a very hard time with this book because I already know what's going to happen. This is a series that should be read in chronological order not in the publishing order. I already know what happens in #2 because of reading #1 & #3.
Back in Aug. when I was reading the Sharon Shinn Samaria novels, I thought I'd have a hard time with Angelica
because it was also a prequel. Susannah's Tale had been talked about in the first three books so I figured that it would be a very boring book. It wasn't, I enjoyed it as much as I did #1 Archangel
. She went into much more detail with her story and changed several things around which can be explained by how oral history isn't always accurate! The Usurper's Crown
doesn't really seem to do that.
