I forgot how much I love those crafty cozy mysteries until I read the whole Candle-making mystery quartet by Tim Myers in 2 days! He writes under 3 other names as well and I reached the hold limit at the Library again! I'm reading Spider Bones by Kathy Reichs at home as well as Sins and Needles by Monica Ferris at work.
I heard this song on the radio this morning and it's been running through my head ALL DAY!
Oh, yes, you're right there. I listened to a CJ Box (?) "mystery" novel and then that Blackberry one that I enjoyed so much. Do you drive to work or bike to work?
Yes, the game warden. I was irritated with the first book, though I don't remember why, and didn't continue with the series. What was the Blackberry one? Parnell Hall was the last one I remember talking with you about.
I drive to work. The place they set aside to park bikes is very insecure and they've had a couple bikes stolen/vandalized. Plus I never know if I'm going to end up with a lot of overtime until after I start work. Excuses, excuses, right? :)
I thought I remembered you biking to work once upon a time; that's why I asked.
I was irritated by the CJ Box book I read, too. It just felt...I don't know. I listened to the whole thing and didn't get bored, but I never really got into it either. Good thing there are other books out there!
It's called "Who Moved My Blackberry" and it was a comedy based on a newspaper column -- a bunch of emails sent by this corporate guy that really makes fun of what it's like to work at a for-profit company. I thought it was great!
I gave it some serious thought at one time but management wouldn't let us store our bikes in a safe place. One guy had his bike chained very securely to a fence post and came out to find both tires cut. It wasn't worth the worry - I'll drive.
Oh, I DO remember that now that you mention it! No author which is why I didn't remember it - my memory is funny that way. :)
Yeah, it was nice to sit there and zoom through a whole series at once. It's been a long time since I've done that. :) Haha, no, Kathy Reichs is definitely NOT a cozy mystery but Monica Ferris is and all I managed to do with Spider Bones yesterday was put the bookmark at the start of the first chapter!
