PC, year end

I hooked up the UPS this morning, turned the computer on and neither the mouse or keyboard worked. WHAT? They must have come unplugged trying to hook the UPS up to the back of the computer when I couldn't see what I was doing. Plus I was getting a radio station over the computer speakers - even after I turned the speakers off! Don't ask me, I don't know! So, after unplugging a couple more cords so that I could pull the computer out, I got the keyboard and mouse plugged back in. And after turning the computer back on, I found out that they were plugged in backwards. Yeah, great :( Do it all again and finally got it all back up to speed! I unplugged the speakers from the power supply and plugged them back in and that stopped the radio station. I have no clue how that happened. Anybody have any ideas?

It looks like I get to work the New Year in. They've got a goofy schedule this week. Day shift starts up Sat. morning and finishes Sat. afternoon. Then we start up Sat. night and get relieved by day shift. New Years falls on the same day as Christmas so you'd think they could use the same schedule but no, that would be much too easy.

I finally found the things I put in a safe place so I wouldn't lose them. I've only been looking for them for a month! That's as good as the last ones I put in a great safe spot. It took me six months to find them! I really need to quit doing that.
