Book finished: Beyond the Grave

I just finished #3 Beyond the Grave by Marcia Muller and Bill Pronzini. I rate it a 7,
It began in San Francisco before the turn of the century, a mystery so deeply hidden that not even Quincannon could solve it completely. Then it continued. And it was not until the late 1980s that amateur sleuth Chicana Elena Oliverez chanced carrying the case to its ultimate and startling conclusion.

Marcia Muller writes the Elena Oliverez series; her husband, Bill Pronzini writes the Quincannon series. This is a combination of both - Elena in the 1980s and Quincannon in the 1890s. They did the same thing with Marcia's Sharon McCone series when Bill's "nameless detective" (Wolf) appeared in a couple books in that series. I've put Bill Pronzini on my list of authors to look for.

I'll be taking Pegasus In Flight by Anne McCaffrey to work with me tonight.
