Amazon notifications

I received an email from Amazon.com that tops the other emails from them - We've noticed that customers who ordered Magic Steps (The Circle Opens Book 1) by Tamora Pierce also ordered It's Happy Bunny Valentine Book (It's Happy Bunny) by Scholastic Inc.
Just by the title alone I'm guessing that this is not a YA Fantasy novel like Tamora Pierce's but a little picture book for kids. Yep, a 16 page picture book for $7.99. I could understand if the books were at least in the same category, either YA, Fantasy, or both. How many customers do you think bought both books? My guess is one! ;)

I can't think of a book recommended through the email notification system that I was interested in. I've found several through the website but not by email. Anyone else have the same experience?

One time they actually recommended to me that people who bought my book also bought...my book. I wonder how their database builds recommendations, really...

ROTFL That's even better yet!
According to my understanding of Amazon's system, someone had to buy two copies of the same book without checking the gift option.

The strangest emails I get from Amazon are the ones that suggest I should sell my recent Amazon purchases on their Marketplace so that I'll have the money to buy more stuff!

It's the circle of life, Amazon style.

Plus you're spending more time on their website setting up your Marketplace!
I haven't gotten that one...yet! :) Maybe that's because I buy a lot of sci-fi/fantasy books and they know people hang on to those.
I've gotten several requests to review some of the books I bought but never to resell them.
