Spock Strange

tbr in October

I plan on reading the following books in October:

I'm currently reading the last Stargods book, The Dragon's Revenge by Irene Radford and Out Cold by William G. Tapply.

For whodundidit we're reading Alexander McCall Smith's The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency and Dorothy Gilman's The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax which are both first books in series.
Smith's has 5 other books in the series while Gilman has another 13 so I'll be continuing at least one of those series next month!

For g8ways we're reading In Fury Born by David Weber and Magic Study by Maria V. Snyder. (I received Snyder's book early and already finished it! It's very, very good)

For bookwyrmmes we're reading Darkover Landfall by Marion Zimmer Bradley and Small Gods by Terry Pratchett. Bradley's is the first of 23 books and that's another series to continue next month. Pratchett I probably won't read.

Continuing from last month:
#3 The Grief Shop by Vicki Stiefel (Tally White)
#7 Stalking the Puzzle Lady by Parnell Hall (Puzzle Lady)
#23 Gypsy Gold by Terri Farley (Phantom Stallion)
#3 The Ghost and the Dead Man's Library by Alice Kimberly (The Haunted Bookshop)
#4 Delete All Suspects by Donna Andrews (Turing Hopper)

Still to come in this month are:
#5 Paloma by Kristine Kathryn Rusch (Retrieval Artist)
#1 Terrier by Tamora Pierce (Provost Dog)

From the Library, I have coming:
#1 Warchild by Karin Lowachee
#2 Burndive by Karin Lowachee
#3 Cagebird by Karin Lowachee
The Princess Pawn by Maggie L. Wood
Rogue Angel: Destiny by Alex Archer
and still to read are Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevine and The Singer of alll Songs by Kate Constable

and finally, still on the list to read whenever I have time:
#1 City for Ransom by Robert W. Walker (Inspector Ransom)
Across the Wall by Garth Nix (short stories in Abhorsen series)
Dragon's Eye by James A. Hetley
#2 Northern Storm and #3 Western Shore by Juliet E. McKenna (Aldabreshin Compass)
and adding to the list another book I picked up:
WebMage by Kelly McCullough
Spock Strange

TBR in September books

I managed to read all 32 books last month though not all the ones on my list!

I've finished all The Firekeeper books that I have. If you're looking for a good fantasy series, give Jane Lindskold a try.
I still need to read the last 2 books in Irene Radford's Stargods trilogy: The Dragon's Revenge and The Dragon circle.

I started reading the first book in Susan Wittig Albert's China Bayles series as part of a discussion group in whodundidit. Now I've got 10 more books in the series to read!

The 2 books for g8ways are The Named by Marianne Curley and Firestorm by Rachel Caine. The former is the first of The Guardians of Time trilogy and I have all 3 that I want to read this month. The latter is the latest Weather Warden book that just came out.

The 2 books for bookwyrmmes are Uglies by Scott Westerfeld and Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison. Once again, the former is a trilogy of which I have the first two books and the third on hold at the Library. The latter is the first book of a series too but I don't have any more of them.

Coming in this month are:
Death on the Diagonal by Nero Blanc
Stalking The Puzzle Lady by Parnell Hall
The Case of the Roasted Onion by Claudia Bishop
Rescue by Gordon Korman
Gypsy Gold by Terri Farley
The Grief Shop by Vicki Stiefel
Out Cold by William G. Tapply

That's 27 books. If I have to cut any, it'll probably be the Scott Westerfeld ones and the new one by Claudia Bishop. It's the first of a new series not a new Hemlock Falls mystery. If I have extra time, I've still got the following:

I've got a couple more Library books to read: Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin and The Singer of alll Songs by Kate Constable.

Still to catch up on from earlier this year:
City For Ranson by Robert W. Walker
Across the Wall by Garth Nix
Dragon's Eye by James A. Hetley
Northern Storm and Western Shore by Juliet E. McKenna
